The Opportunity 

Reporting to VP Innovation, the Technical Project Coordinator will be a crucial part of Peak’s Innovation in Software Development team. You’ll work very closely with a diverse group of creative and talented people who are passionate about Peak’s technology as a means of solving big energy problems. You will be responsible for communicating approaches to the broader team, maintaining schedules, tracking and reporting, and ensuring visibility across multiple departments, including Innovation, Software, and Product teams. 

The Technical Project Coordinator will: 

  • Deliver- You have excellent communication, time management, technical documentation, and project management skills to ensure all project milestones and deliverables are monitored and met. 

  • Prepare internal communications and technical documentation to inform team members of critical notices, schedule updates, and efficient knowledge transfer using internal management tools such as Asana, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Suite 

  • Build scalable and sustainable business procedures through collaboration with cross-functional departments 

  • Report- You enjoy the process of analyzing current processes and identifying improvements that will optimize or improve our current standards. 

  • Present progress and results of tasks to the team and other stakeholders 

  • Conduct regular analysis of processes and procedures, making adjustments when necessary to investigate cause-effect relationships; identify gaps and recommendations for improvements 

  • Collaborate. Strong interpersonal and communication skills enable execution that requires input and buy-in while partnering with multiple technical groups. You will demonstrate end-to-end ownership of complex projects to successful completion. 

  • Grow. You will have the opportunity to enable the team by identifying opportunities to improve communication, creating detailed documentation, and improving efficiencies. 

What you bring to Peak Power: 

  • The education and experience.  

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent in a related discipline, or PMP designation, is considered an asset but not mandatory. 

  • You have 2 years of related experience in technical project management or similar experience. You have worked with project management tools such as Asana, Confluence, Jira, and Github. Experience with Agile tools and methodology is considered an asset but not required. 

  • Bilingual – Fluent English/Mandarin  

  • Strong attention to detail in evaluating the completion of various phases of a project along with analytical skills to monitor the progress of an undertaking and identify areas needing adjustment or improvement 

  • Willingness to manage multiple tasks at once and adhere to guidelines, budgets, and deadlines 

  • Basic computer skills, especially email, spreadsheets, and presentation creation software, including Microsoft office 

  • Practical verbal and written communications skills in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) 

  • The drive and curiosity. You have a roll up your sleeves attitude and are motivated to solve problems and support team success. You are passionate about contributing to innovative solutions to climate change. 

  • Good understanding of SDLC and modern technology stacks or willing to learn 

  • Strong business analysis skills and comfortable working with various stakeholders, ability to identify opportunities to improve at early stage of a project 

  • Open mindset in terms of learning new technologies and tools, adapting to process and ways of working, willingness to support ad-hoc requests from stakeholders
